“Baseball has always been a big part of my life. I played first base for the Sheridan Blackhawks for four years of high school. It was also one of the only ways I was able to connect with my dad, who was also a big fan. Baseball taught me a lot about life. It taught me a lot about success and failure. In baseball, you can fail at-bat 7 out of 10 times and still be a Hall of Fame-er.”
Matt currently resides in Henry County and has decided to sponsor his son’s ball team in Cambridge City. “I never want my son to be afraid to fail. So hopefully he gets better at that this season. But also, to learn how to work hard, and how to play as a team. Small-town athletics is one of life’s little joys. I’m grateful to provide sponsorship to help keep the program running successfully.”
The Cambridge City Youth League will have its season at Crietz Park located at 150 N Foote St Cambridge City, IN 47327. Durbin Real Estate team plays Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come enjoy a day at the ballpark!
